Exhibition Background
The development of new energy vehicles is essential for the global transformation of the global automotive industry towards greener practices and represents a strategic choice for the high-quality development of China’s automotive sector in the newera. As a strategic emerging industry in China, intelligent connected new energy vehicles integrate new technologies such as new energy, new materials, next-generation information technology and advanced manufacturing. Combined with technological innovation, it has opened new avenues, created new momentum and formed new advantages, serving as a typical representative and important engine of a new quality productive force. Moreover, as a major automobile producer and consumer, China has seen rapid development in the intelligent connected new energy vehicle industry in recent years,with production and sales ranking among the highest in the world. According to relevant data, from January to September 2024, China’s auto production and sales reached 21.47 million and 21.71 million, a year-on-year increase of 1.9% and 2.4% respectively. Among them, the production and sales of new energy vehicles achieved 8.3 million, with an increase of more than 30% year-on-year. The annual export of vehicles was 4.91 million units, a year-on-year increase of 57.9%. In the structure of auto production and sales, new energy vehicle sales account for nearly 40% of total auto sales. Meanwhile, data shows that exports are also steadily rising. From January to September, auto exports reached 4.312 million units, a year-on-year increase of 27.3%. And new energy vehicle exports were 928,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 12.5%. As one of the first batch of pilot cities for the demonstration and promotion of new energy vehicles in China, Hangzhou is also a national demonstration area for the application of 5G Internet of Vehicles, ranking among the best in the development of the intelligent networked new energy vehicle industry. At present, Hangzhou is making every effort to build five major industrial ecosystems, cultivate and develop future industries such as intelligent networked new energy vehicles. By 2025, the government will strive to realize the full opening of the city for the testing and application of intelligent networked new energy vehicles, create a test demonstration area for intelligent networked new energy vehicles, and create a model for the commercial application of intelligent networked new energy vehicles. At present, the new energy vehicle market in China and the world is continuing to grow. Relying on huge demand space, it requires all parties to give full play to their advantages and develop together in the scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, mutual benefit and win-win results to ensure the future development of intelligent connected new energy vehicles.

To further promote the high-quality and sustainable development of China’s intelligent connected new energy vehicle industry, accelerate the construction of an automobile power. Approved by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, jointly hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce and the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, and organized by Shanghai Golden Convention and Exhibition Group Co., Ltd. together with related institutions, the “2025 Hangzhou International Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Exhibition” is scheduled to be held at the Hangzhou Convention and Exhibition Center from June 20 to 22, 2025.
